Video Tips
Uploading film:
VictorySwap.com is as easy to use as email. Simply shoot your game film, and save or convert your game film to a WMV file. The film must be in the WMV format to upload to our site. You can capture (digitally record) from you camera via a fire wire cable directly to your laptop computer using VictorySwap Video Capture Software provided with your subscription. This software will save your game as a wmv file. Simply login to VictorySwap.com and follow the upload instructions.
Under the Head Coaches Console click on 'Upload Videos'. If you are asked to "Trust" the Java certificate, then do so. Now move the film to the upload cart and then click the upload tab. The film will start uploading (this could take over an hour based on your internet connection). TIP: if the camera man is listed as an assistant coach then he can upload the game Friday during the night. The game will be ready for download the next morning.
Downloading film:
Login to VictorySwap.com by entering your username and password. Click 'Download Videos' from the menu. Choose from the list of uploaded videos the game you want to download. To download the game right-click with your mouse and select Save target as. Give the game a name to 'Save As' on your computer. By clicking 'Save' the game will be saved to your computer hard drive and will be ready to watch. Note: if you 'double-click' with the mouse, the game will play for you to view but it will not be saved to your computer for further viewing.
DO: Set Timer on Video ( does not have to display).
DO: Pause between plays. Caution: Not pausing will create an extremely large file which will create long download time and may not upload and download easily.
DO: Set your cameraman or person responsible for your game video as an assistant coach so that he can upload your game for you.
DO: Convert to a single .WMV file. The Upload module allows for separate files for each half but the process will be easier for everyone to manage as a single file. Cameras usually come with some type of conversion software. You can also burn a DVD and then "rip" it to a .wmv file. There are many DVD rippers and converters available. You Might be able to use free DVD ripper/converters like Format Factory or Any Video Converter. Roxio and Nero are also common Rippers and Converters but there is a cost associated with each of these. (VictorySwap only suggests these converters and does not warrant them in any way).
DO: You can capture from you camera via a fire wire cable directly to your laptop computer using a VictorySwap Viceo Capture Software (afree software download) . This software will save your game as a wmv file.
DO: Convert and upload overnight after the game. Depending upon your connection, upload speeds can be much slower than download speeds. This is especially true with DSL and Cable internet connections.
DON'T: Wait until the game time to use victoryswap.com. for the first time. Go through the process before gametime, just as you would practice before gametime.
DON'T: Video the game without pausing between plays as the file will be too large to handle during the upload and download process.
